Mission Statement The Tillamook County Women’s Resource Center mission is to eliminate domestic and sexual violence in our community. Crisis Line: Our confidential crisis line is in operation 24-hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. (503) 842-9486 or toll free in Oregon 1 (800)-992-1679. The line is for victims of domestic violence (physical, emotional, or sexual) sexual assault, sexual harassment, incest, child abuse, and elder abuse. Our crisis line volunteers have been trained to respond in a supportive way to a variety of situations. Emergency Shelter: We can arrange for relocation to one of the many “Safe Homes” operating to assist victims of domestic violence or sexual assault. Emergency Transportation, Food, and Clothing: Services are available to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault to support them in their transition to safety. Lending Library: Books and videos are available for adults on domestic violence, sexual abuse (including rape and incest), elder abuse, feminism, gay/lesbian//bisexual issues, parenting, as well as books for children and teens. Books and videos can be checked out on an as available basis at no charge. Peer Counseling: We offer support and affirmation to women in crisis by being empathetic, non-judgmental listeners. We strongly believe that women are capable of making their own decisions and we empower them to do so by helping them to process their feelings and needs. Referral: We maintain and update resource information for assistance in many areas including: domestic violence, sexual assault, sexual harassment, incest, legal, medical, counseling and law enforcement. Speakers Bureau: Speakers are available for community education. We actively seek speaking engagements in schools, social groups, service organizations and churches.
