Welcome to the new Tillamook County Women’s Crisis Center Shelter Home.  We have purchased the home, the renovations are under way and all this is left is to provide that comfortable chair, the tea cup, the bed, the sheets and all that furnishes a home. 

Help us make this house into a home

Did I mention that it was a six bedroom home for up to 16 people at one time.  The task of furnishing it is a bit daunting to say the least.  We are excited to announce that we have 5 months to complete the task and many ways for you to help us make the house a home.

 ·                    Visit our supporters at Roby’s Furniture in Tillamook where we have “registered” for all of the large furniture items that we will need.  Roby’s has very generously given us discounts of 10% to 30% on all of the items to be purchased through them.  It is our goal to create a home with quality, durable, safe items that will last and last.  Click here to see the List

·                     Listen for our radio-a-thon to be held on February 16^th from 10am to 3pm on COAST 105 and make a gift or a pledge at that time.  We will have many special guests coming to visit and talk with us about the shelter so tune in for fun!

·                     Attend one of the three “shower” events to be held the week of May 12^th.  These events will have all the fun of a traditional house warming shower with silly games, party mints, punch and cake as well as of course the gift opening!  We will be back in touch with dates, times and locations for the showers.  More details to be posted at a later date.

·                     Make a donation of an item off our list at anytime between now and the end of June at the Wild Flower Thrift Boutique at 114 Main in Tillamook.  Click here to see the list

 It takes a community to stop domestic violence and this is a way for all of us to come together and take a step in that direction by providing a warm, safe place, right here in our community for those who have experienced violence.
